ah OK then I know what happens .. grabdisplay works with -noxv, overlay
without that .. I only had a test-channel with grabdisplay in order to
check out recording, and that's when I discovered the "audio" menu .. 

the way I'd do audio-mode switching now (i.e. without the menu) is to
just have 3 channels defined for every channel I watch .. one with
audio=stereo, one with audio=lang1 and one with audio=lang2 .. other
settings the same, that way I just switch the channel ..

only the audio doesn't change and stays the same no matter what audio
mode I use (no matter whether I change it with the aforementioned method
or via using the audio-menu).
