Can someone please describe the correct way to setup and check that I have OSS configured? Currently I have installed Linux 2.4.18 + patch-2.4.19-rc + v4l-01-add-api-2.4.19-pre8.diff + saa7134-0.1.9. My sound card uses es1371 driver. Sometimes when I start xmms it complains of incompatible esound device? I am wondering if a source of my no sound problem with the saa7134 is due to a miss understanding and miss configuration of the oss sound mechanism? --Geoff
