hi 

you can first check whether your bttv driver is included by default or not..by doing lsmod.if it is not included then do.... modprobe bttv to include this module...

if this module is included already then you can...do ..dmesg to check wht card it identifies....it will mentioned near bttv....smwhr...if its not the rite card....then u can edit /etc/modules.conf and put a line thr  options bttv card=n where n is you card no..(u can fidn the card no from the web smwhr...)

then u do rmmod bttv to remove the module first and modprobe bttv to include again....
