I'm not an MPEG expert, but mpeg2enc takes quality before speed, I'm
affraid it's hard to run in realtime (unless you use I-frame only MPEG
and drop the motion compensation, but again - I'm not an expert), I get
around 4-8 fps on a P-II 400 depending on the options and quality used.
You should ask on the mjpeg-users@xxxxxxxxxxxx mailinglist, that's where
the experts reside.
