Will full hardware scaling on the second head of the card?  I thought
that was not possible with XFree86, only framebuffer, using the
matroxset utility to reroute CRTC1 to the second head/display.

Sorry, didn't know that tv out is only supported on the second head. I don't think it works on the second head, at least not out of the box.
