I get the same effect (grainy scan lines around objects that move) with bttv-0.7.54. Seeing this thread made me curious.. I downgraded just the bttv driver to bttv-0.6.4h and it went away!!! Using bttv-0.7.54 the scan lines around movings object are very apparant, in both the streamer app (xawtv) I use for my webcam, and vcr which I use to record off of the tuner. I use 2.2.16, slackware if it matters. Anyone have any idea as to what might be going on here? I currently swiched over to 6.4h, but I hate all the errors I get about the driver being an old version. BTW, I havn't noticed anything wrong with the color.. maybe because my webcam, which I pay more attention to then the tuner, is only b/w.
