I have the same problem with a Asus/Via chipset motherboard, a BT878A based
board (ATI TV Wonder), a Matrox G400 display card, and the rest of the cards
are the same (SB Live! Value PCR, and 3Com905B PCI)

I found the following options to bttv you can try individually or together,
they did not help me, but maybe they will help you (source:
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/video4linux/Insmod-options and README.quirks)

triton1=1 and vsfx=1
