I got the remote working under 2.6, and the radio works with mute on exit its just that its very staticy, I think its cuase I haven't figured out how to use that really strange FM antenna.  Well if there is any information I can provide to help with better support of the card please let me know I'll be glad to help. Thanks for everything Hermann.

You don't need lirc, but for full functionality you need the new input
on 2.6.0 and evdev loaded, then you can do everything with Gerd's input
tools easily. Lirc-cvs can be used with the event device now too, but
seems to be some struggle yet. Check the list archive some weeks back
and also it's ongoing at the lirc-list. (come some keys through on
2.4.23?)

Radio with my md9717 and FV3K works, but doesn't mute on exit. Try with
console "radio" from xawtv. Following this thread
http://www.riverside.org/archive/html/video4linux/2003-04/msg00056.html,
even the change of the audio clock seems not to be necessary at the end.

Hope for more autodetection seems to be lost, or can Shant provide
additional information?

Hermann
