Since you have the NTSC FV2K with an eeprom it may be autodetected in the future. According to saa7134-input.c the FV2K remote is expected to work like the FV3K and mine does very well on latest 2.6.0-test kernels (enable input, evdev, evbug and the usual stuff and fetch the input tools from bytesex.org/snapshot). On 2.4.22 kraxelpatch3 the number keys and enter came through, enough to change channels in tvtime, but it was not possible to load new keymaps with "kbd" from the input tools. Don't know if someone tried to modify the keys to his convenience in the source according to .../include/linux/input.h as a workaround, but best fun is on test kernel. (use also latest test11-bk-patch, issues with netfilter ...) Your device was registered for ir input (expected remote is RM 050), you can try if something comes through ...
