Re: RedHat V9 and xawtv

smp - Super Multiple Processors (or something like that.. ) I have two cpus.

The 'Terminal' problem I don't see. But I'm using Gnome instead of KDE.

There is a configuration parameter that says that you cannot log in
(remotely) as root if it is turned on. You must log in as a regular user
and then 'su' or 'su -' to root. Maybe that is what you are seeing. If you
start X as root, there are other problems too. Better to start 'X' when you
are logged in as a regular user.

The 'cmd has white space' - maybe the line in the file that starts up
'Terminal' has a typo - a space where it shouldn't?

Your full-screen bug - can you grab the lower right corner of the TV window
and resize it? If you click on the full window icon at the upper right of
the TV window - does it resize to full screen? Whether it does or not would
be a clue as to where your problem is. You could also try Gnome and see if
the problem is there too.
