I have that now fixed. Just, as root, mv'd my /home/warren11 dir to warren11.bak. then userdel warren11, then used useradd warren11 and copied essential files from warren11.bak to warren11 dir. Now the Terminal icon works as it is supposed to. > Your full-screen bug - can you grab the lower right corner of the TV window > and resize it? You could also try Gnome and see if > the problem is there too. In RH 8 starting xawtv changed my video X window to 800x600. RH 9 doesn't. It is almost working but no station shows now I copied my RH8 .xawtv file to the new RH 9 user /home/warren11 dir. Here is what I got typing 'xawtv -fb' ; ------------------- start [warren11@newbox warren11]$ xawtv -fb This is xawtv-3.81, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.20-9) ioctl VT_GETSTATE: Invalid argument WARNING: v4l and x11 disagree about the screen size WARNING: Is v4l-conf installed correctly? I have the settings with the o cmd set to NTSC and US Cable stations. No more locking up so at least that is getting me part way there. (snip) -- Warren
