Hello,

I am having some trouble with my Terratec Cinergy 400. After watching TV for
a while with xawtv the picture disappears. The tuner and sound still work
although changing channels takes longer than usual. The only way that I can
get the card to work again is by cold-rebooting the computer. I've tried
unloading and reloading all assiciated modules but it doesn't help.

This is the module output (dmesg) when reloading saa7134 with modprobe after
the picture has disappeared:

Linux video capture interface: v1.00

Now when i run xawtv it says:

This is xawtv-3.86, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.20)
/dev/v4l/video0: ioctl VIDIOCSFBUF: Operation not permitted
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
v4l2: WARNING: framebuffer base address mismatch

Input/output error

And when i change channel with xawtv it says:

v4l2: read: Input/output error
v4l2: read: Input/output error
ioctl: VIDIOC_DQBUF(index=0;type=VIDEO_CAPTURE;bytesused=0;flags=0x0
[];field=ANY;;timecode.type=0;timecode.flags=0;timecode.frames=0;timecode.seconds=0;timecode.minutes=0;timecode.hours=0;timecode.userbits="";sequence=0;memory=unknown):
Input/output error

I am using the following patches (against vanilla 2.4.20, but using newer
i2c-modules) and packages:

patch-2.4.20-kraxel.gz
v4l2-20030207.tar.gz
saa7134-20030218.tar.gz
xawtv-20030304.tar.gz

Any ideas? Is there any way of resetting the card via software to emulate a
cold reboot? That would be a sufficient workaround for me.
