Is this the "oops" that there have been a few complaints about? (Lavrec runs
for a time, never more than ten minutes, and then segfaults itself and other
programs.) If so, there are two workarounds. The ten-minute limit can be
cheated by using quicktime, but the problem may still happen. The other option
is to switch to an older kernel. SUSE 7.3 never shows that problem, while
RedHat 7.3 consistently shows it. RedHat uses a newer kernel.
