Problems to configure Video4Linux as a kernel module ...

Dear Sirs,

I'm trying to run a Matrox Meteor II / Multichannel framegrabber under RedHat Linux 7.1 (kernel 2.4.2) using Video4Linux2. As described at http://www.thedirks.org/v4l2/, I tried to configure Video4Linux as a kernel module before installing 'videodevX', but running 'make module' after configuring and building the kernel lead to a 'parsing error' with the file 'videodev.o'.

Do you have an explanation for this problem, or can you help me otherwise to get the grabber running?

Yours sincerely,

Ewald Fauster
