bttv-0.8.41 hangs/0.7.92 with 0.8.40 works

I tested new versions of bttv yesterday -
bttv-0.7.92 works fine, but running
bttv-0.8.41 locks up the video input
(I think it grabs videodev and won't
let go, even with "kill -9").

Backing up to bttv-0.8.40 worked.
