bttv 0.8.40 unresolved symbols

Hi,
I decided to start my migration from Windows to Linux.
I've bought myself 6CD RedHat 7.2 distribution. Installation
went fine, everything looks nice, except using my TV card.

Before I ask about freezing system with S3 Savage 4 on bttv 0.7.x,
I wanted to try myself every possibilities. I downloaded latest
version (bttv-0.8.40.tar.gz), downloaded 2.4.18 kernel from
kernel.org, downloaded and applied patch (patch-2.4.19-pre8.gz),
built my own kernel, to see if it works. I also upgraded
modutils to v 2.4.16. I downloaded also following patches:
btaudio-01-update-2.4.19-pre8.diff
v4l2-01-add-api-2.4.19-pre8.diff.gz
videodev-2.4.18.diff (I think this isn't needed for 2.4.19-pre8 kernel)

and applied them.

Then I did make in bttv-0.8.40 directory and it went fine (except for
some warnings in processor.h for 'prefetch' and 'prefetchw').
I got bttv.o and video-buf.o. Next I did make install and I got some
unresolved symbols:

[root@gemini bttv-0.8.40]# make install
make: /scripts/pathdown.sh: Command not found
strip --strip-debug *.o
su -c "mkdir -p /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre8/kernel/drivers/media/video;
cp -v video-buf.o bttv.o
/lib/modules/2.4.19-pre8/kernel/drivers/media/video;
depmod -ae"
`video-buf.o' ->
`/lib/modules/2.4.19-pre8/kernel/drivers/media/video/video-buf.o'
`bttv.o' -> `/lib/modules/2.4.19-pre8/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.o'
depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in

depmod:         vmalloc_to_page
[root@gemini bttv-0.8.40]#

Can somebody tell me, what I did wrong?

Thanks for help,
Mike
