But the MPAA is just the motion picture version of the RIAA no?  Same
opressive type of organization, no?  Or is the MPAA more reasonable
than the RIAA?

I would be surprised to learn otherwise, re: the studios partipating
in it.  Somebody is using it to hold over the media hardware producing
companies heads to get what they want and who is vested more than the
studios?
