Hi! This is my first time posting to this list. So, I'm not sure whether anybody has already solved the problem I'll be describing below. I have successfully installed and get the MediaForte(using the ProVideo PV951 chipset) card up and runnning. The problem is, my line-in is too soft even on the maximum volume(on my sound card mixer). When I tried to increase the volume of the card using KWinTV, nothing happens. Doing a dmesg reveals a possible related error: pic16c54 (PV951): I/O error (write reg2=0x10) BTW, when I checked the card, there wasn't any chipset with the name pic16c54. Instead, it was something with CF745-04/P written on one of the ICs. The TDA9425 chip is completely gone(I saw it on the box, but it wasn't on the card). I was wondering whether anyone who has this card is able to control the volume on the card itself and not using the sound card mixer? Or it is actually impossible?
