Okay. I am starting over. I've wiped the previous install and am in the process of installing RH7.1 from scratch. I chose the 'Select Indiviual Packages Option' this time around which gave me the ability to pick V4L and SDL as part of the install. I'll keep you posted on the progress. r.b.
