I'd been thinking about you have told; I'd haven't found any chip for PCI
access but I've got a c&t 96000 video graphic integrated on the main board,
and it seems that the CT96000 have the capability of capturing images.
What do you think about it? could you help me to make my system work?
thanks.

SAA7111 is only a helper chip that executes the A-to-D conversion of a
video signal. There must be another chip on your board which plays the
leading part in providing digitized video for CPU/PCI-DMA access.
2.4 kernels already have a SAA7111 driver module. Another SAA7111 module
is in the SAA7146 driver package by Michael Hunold (www.mihu.de/linux).
But these modules are of no use for you as long as you don't have support
for your center video capture chip.
Bye,
Rolf
