SAA7111 is only a helper chip that executes the A-to-D conversion of a video signal. There must be another chip on your board which plays the leading part in providing digitized video for CPU/PCI-DMA access. 2.4 kernels already have a SAA7111 driver module. Another SAA7111 module is in the SAA7146 driver package by Michael Hunold (www.mihu.de/linux). But these modules are of no use for you as long as you don't have support for your center video capture chip. Bye, Rolf
