I have few complaints: 1) doesn't know how to handle Xinerama (I don't know of any that do ;) 2) SDL fullscreen mode doesn't perform well in a dual-head configuration 3) not much documentation (yet) > http://thot.banki.hu/esp-team/MPlayer.html > http://mars.tuwien.ac.at/~roman/nuppelvideo/ > > No, I'm not affiliated with mplayer, but I've tried a lot of Linux media > players, and this is hands down the best. After downloading some movies from http://www.archive.org/movies/ last night, I'll tell you what I found; 1) using the `unsupported' SDL plugin, B&W DivX ;-) AVI's took about 40-50% CPU unscaled, and about 90% zoomed to full screen. 2) different plugins respond to different keystrokes at runtime 3) all in all, the performance of this player FAR excedes anything else I've tried I'm not affiliated with the author or project either, but I'll definitely put the big -=|JP|=- Stamp of Approval on this one! -- -=|JP|=- "This space intentionally left blank."
