Whichever one it was, it seems to have done the trick with the buffer
error.  So now xawtv runs, but it gives me only a black screen.  I'm
putting coax into the card (NTSC, US Cable) and going out of an NVidia
card's TV-out.  xawtv gives the following info on the terminal:
