shared interrupts

I'm using a 878A based card on my pc and it is working. Now I have to
make it work on another motherboard, a via mini itx, which has got a lot
of devices on board.

I've tried to use the same parameters and I can't get it working, I
always get invalid argument.

The only different thing is that I've noticed that this board has got a
lot of shared interrupts (the card uses irq 11, which is also used by
usb and firewire).

Do you know if there are problem using shared interrupts?
