Pinnacle PCTV pro configuration problems

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi I've brought one Pinnacle PCTV Pro last december. After a lot of hours of trying to configure under linux whitout
sucess, I'm here asking for help.
Here is my linux details:
-Slackware 8.1, with 2.4.19 kernel (I've tested 2.4.20 too), modutils 2.4.16, xawtv-3.83, running on amd k6-III, with 192MB Ram, Riva TNT II 32mb, Epox MVP3-G2 mainboard, and SbLive! Player soundcard.
Other relevant info (I guess):
- this card works fine on w98, and with one program i've get the frequencies of television stations, but it don't work
- I'm from Portugal and my signal is via antenna, and the TV norm is PAL-BG.
- In xawtv I select Pal as TV norm.
- The output of xawtv is: one small part of the window (at top) with "moving and changing" colors, and the other part part of the windows when is in "overlay" mode is black, when is in grabdisplay mode is green. - I can't tunning radio too. If is needed more information just ask. If I attach stupid info sorry, but I would give as much information as I can.

Here goes the Technical data printed in the box:
Decoder/PCI Bus master-Controller-Chip - Conexant CN878
TV-Tuner
- High-quality tuner with full hyper-band cable TV support
- Stereo and multi-channel TV sound with NICAM
- Stereo FM Radio reception In the bar code says: PCTVproPAL-BG/I/DK SECAM Retail D/GB/Nl As attachment goes the output of some commands, and kernel messages:
- lspci -v -- output of "lspci -v" command
- modules.conf -- my modules.conf file (I've tried all the TEMIC and PHILIPS tunners, 11 and 52 cards)
- v4l-conf -- output of that command
- v4l-conf -a 0xe6000000 -- output of that command (the adress was given by file /var/log/XFree86.0.log
- XFree86.0.log - /var/log/XFree86.0.log file
- load_modules - output of modprobe and lsmod
- dmesg - output of dmesg command after the modules loading
- insmod_error - errors given by "insmod" of bttv module
- kernel-2.4.19.config - my kernel configuration Thanks in advance!
