Following up from my previous post (Problems with 2.4.20 and patches
from bytesex.org) I would simply like to ask if this release (and
others?) are broken unless compiled as a module.
If this is the case, could the patches include the relevant changes to
kbuild? (mod_bool for menuconfig? but IIRC, this doesn't work with make
config or make oldconfig...). Would the same changes also be necessary
for 2.5.x (which to add insult to injury is also having lots of
module-based fun of its own :-) )
Has anyone reported success with compiling bttv in this way (ie not as a
module)? Am i just being dumb? :-)
