I have some update. I have tried ttv and it works ok. Also 'xawtv -noxv' works
on remote X terminal (in a small windows so the network can handle it).

I have tried the solutions mentioned in README.freeze (except the upgrade to
the 8.x bttv driver). That is setting insmod options to
options bttv radio=1 pll=1 tuner=1 triton1=1 vsfx=1
I have also tried to turn of dri in XF86Config.
Tried with DMA for disks turned of.

System specs:
Asus A7A133 motherboard (ali chipset - lspci -v attached) with Athlon
Thunderbird
graphic card: Matrox g450
tvcard: Leadtek WinFast 2000

base system is redhat 7.3
kernel 2.4.19 and 2.4.20-rc1-ac1
xawtv-3.75

As I'm already told this is very probably a PCI/AGP bug. But what does playing
with agp settings mean except that I try various settings (already tried
some, but I dont know what to tweak, and where).

And dont understand why is mplayer with xv output working but xawtv fail?

Thanks
Zsolt
