Mike, did you change the norm? (pal vs ntsc?) I recall it's pal by default.
And if you're trying to use cable channels, it's important to load the right
channel table, and some country tables are just a little shifted and won't
lock color detection.

I change it. the right norm is palnc.
for bttv, I change it with xawtv
for bttv2, with /etc/modules.conf
