Hi all,
I just found this mailing list, and have been reading on it for a little while. Most the stuff here is a bit over my head still, but I will try to keep up.
Have several questions.
I noticed that most the posts from this group include a "" in the subject line. Is this one of those things where I am going to get body slammed for not reading some FAQ, or is it to help keep track from which mailing list the message originated? If I am suppose to read something or the header has some special meaning please let me know.

My final goal in joining this group is to try and get the x-10 multi cam system running in Linux. Is this the right place to be, or is there a better suited list?

Finally, I have done several searches on Google for running x-10 cameras through the USB port, but have only had luck with getting onfoon the "firecracker" module. Having the ability to turn on the cameras is nice, but it does not help display the video  stream to the monitor. If anyone knows the link to a site where someone is already doing the cameras, it would be appreciated.

I almost forgot. I have searched for the V4L API, but all the links that claim to have it fail on my web browser. Does anyone know of a link where I can get the latest info on, and download the API?

Regards all,
Cliff
