Dear all,

After extensive reading and trying, I'm stuck in solving the problem
that my MSP3451G-A2 sound chip isn't found anymore on my Pinnacle Studio
PCTV Pro. I have video but no sound.

This happened after an update from:

Pentium III 500 Mhz
ASUS P2-99
SUSE linux 7.1, kernel 2.4.0-4GB
bttv 0.7.50

/etc/modules.conf:

options bttv card=52 pll=1 radio=1
options tuner type=5
options msp3400 once=1 simple=1

I updated to bttv 0.7.78, but the problem remained.

output from the detect program:

0xa0: eeprom (bt878, Hauppauge-848)
0xa2: ???
0xa4: ???
0xa6: ???
0xc2: tuner (error: Device or resource busy)

The 0x80 address doesn't seem to exist anymore?
I'm really stuck here, so any help will be appreciated.

Bert Verbeek

PS: autodetection is not ok, subsystem: 11bd:0012 sould lead to -->
card=52 for this card.
