xawtv and rage 128 troubles

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello-

This is my first post here, and I've tried and tried to get this
solved without posting. If this has been covered elsewhere, I
apologize. I really have looked . . .

Here's the specs:
Debian (Woody)
xawtv 3.61 using the bttv driver from Kernel 2.4.9
Video card is an ATI Xpert 128 (Rage 128)
XFree86 4.1.0 using r128 xserver
Phoebe-micro TV Master tuner card, autodetected (TView99), tuner type=6

Here's the problem:
scantv works great. Picks up channels nice and dandy.
Sound works great.
Picture doesn't work at all. Just blackness.

I initially had a messed up and fuzzy picture, and my system would
lock up right after launching xawtv. A bit of looking around and I
found out I had to load the v4l module. That fixed the lockup
troubles, but now there is no picture whatsoever.

Thanks for any help.
