Isn't PAL-60 the same as PAL-M? We use a 60Hz PAL system here in Brazil. I
guess it is a PAL-60 then, except that I think it has the same number of
lines as NTSC, not PAL.

PAL-M works OK with xawtv, in XFree 3.3.6. In XFree4, I was told that it
is only supported in the latest XFree version. In prior versions you can
only select NTSC, which gives a b&w picture, or PAL, which does not
sync. xawtv in XFree 3 lets you specify which PAL format, and then there
is the M option. In the latest version of XFree 4 I have not checked yet.
