Have you tried with autodetect like this?

options bttv pll=1
options tuner debug=1
...
Good one. A plain 'modprobe bttv' means card=39. The PCTV was supposed to be
card=52. Without that it can only tune radio.
I'll have to wait until later to dl from bytesex.org, sorry I'm on a thin
client at the mo.
