You get the newest saa7134-cards.c and can have a look at the autodetection and what tuner(s) are missing. Here on my "old" 2.6.0-test1-ac2 with additional patch for -test1 I get an error for saa7134-core.c:707: (expect a typo) and you can easy confirm or not for -test3. > Problems: > 1) For some reason the driver only works when I set card=3, which is for > flyvideo 2000 and not the 3000. > 2) Using 'scantv' utility, it is not able to pick up any channels, so > the picture doesnt look very good unless I tweak every channel by hand. > 3) XAWTV won't expand the display beyond what seems to be some preset > resolution. You can check what is loaded in the XFree86.0.log. 1),2),4) smells suspiciously like a new/unrecognized tuner, maybe an philips_1216me_mk3 (tuner=38, needs tda9887). On the md9717 here should be the same tuner=5 like on the FV3k. A Philips FM1216/I, size 88mm x 37mm without the connectors. The same company sells now the --> Jason, until here I was, when I got visitors this afternoon and before you have to reply to yourself. <-- md7134, first some with the FM1216/1, then with the mk3 (card=12,tuner=28,tda9887 sound.) The lenght of the mk3 is clear less than 88 mm. --> To make it short, to find what tuner is definitly on the board is most important also for the sound. Will look again on that. Greetings Hermann
