v4l: very low fps

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,
I'm using v4l driver to capture from Logitech USB camera.
I'm using the source code grabber-video4linux.cpp, etc. (taken from the
vic project).
I meerly get 2 fps.
I found that the command
ioctl(fd_, VIDIOCSYNC, &i); // where i is int = 0 or 1.
is blocked for almost 500 milliSec at each capture iteration.
Using the same camera in windows I get much better performance.
Can someone tell me how to get a better fps?
thanx,
 Arie.
