i'm using the bttv driver for my hauppage (card=10 i believe) and i can't seem to get stereo sound, i'm not sure why but i can only get out mono from my card, i'm loading the bttv driver as a module, according to dmesg i'm using 0.7.106, just patched my kernel a few minutes ago and recompiled. i could never get it to go out of mono in windows either,
Bttv doesn't detect a msp34xx chip; look at your card if there is some. If not, your card is non-stereo. To make sure there is no software problem, send output of bttv-0.7.106/tools/eeprom -x
my brother has the same card, and his does stereo, i'm wondering if its
Compare "dmesg" from the other card to see (and run eeprom -x on that card).
