.xawtv file request - scantv not working

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all!

I'm using a WinTV Go with a conexant chipset - cx23881. There is a new
driver for it at bytesex, however it's in alpha state.
Now, my driver gets loaded and xawtv works, however it gives me a green
screen, meaning that at least the /dev/video is working (thus the driver
is ok). As I don't have built a channel list, thus my green screen.
However, whenever I run scantv to scan the channels, it fails to open
/dev/vbi. Either the driver is not registering that device or I need to
load something more.

I guess, that if I can get the .xawtv (or the file where the channel
list is supposed to be) from someone else, at least I can watch TV with
xawtv, without having to scan for it first. Is it possible?

I'm living in Belgium, so here it's PAL, europe-west.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Carlos
