Hi!
As I said i'm new to this but i've tried to follow your description exactly and i've finally managed to come to the step where i'm going to start removing cards from the computer trying to find out what's causing this problem. I'm doing this tonight.

Im not 100% sure on how to what cardtype and tuner to chose for this card.
Could you post your modules.conf so i don't have to use trial and error.

Can a invalid insmod option cause the computer to hang?
