I am using a pinnacle pctv pro on redhat linux 8.0 :
- Installed RH 8.0 from scratch
- I recompiled the kernel from a 2.4.20 from
kernel.org, patched witch the kraxel patch
- I compiled the last 0.7 version of bttv
- I compiled the last version of xawtv
- I installed the gatos driver for my ATI graphic card
- I tried with only my graphic card and the tunner
- Then I added the other cards one after one, and
finally not inserted the DLink 520+ that caused me
some computer lock up.

Note : as I am using an AMD cpu on a VIA chipset I did
some tuning on my bios to work around some known bug
on the VIA chipset under heavy PCI load.

Conclusion : all is working fine now (wieving tv,
recording tv).

Hope you will find some clue in this.

Regards,
