I'm also curious if this is why the btaudio driver loads fine on my
Pinnacle TV Studio, but doesn't actually produce any sound.

Does anyone actually have a Pinnacle card that works with btaudio?
Here's part of dmesg:

bttv: Bt8xx card found (0).

I know that the card has a MSP on it; big square chip; do any of the
newer v0.7 drivers work any better?

Here's what it looks like after modprobe btaudio:
btaudio: driver version 0.7 loaded [digital+analog]
btaudio: Bt878 (rev 17) at 00:04.1, irq: 20, latency: 32, mmio:
0xfeb00000
btaudio: using card config "default"
btaudio: registered device dsp0 [digital]
btaudio: registered device dsp1 [analog]
btaudio: registered device mixer0

The video works fine, just no audio apparently. When I run sox and
create a .wav file, dsp0 produces a 44 byte file that only has:
"RIFF$WAVEfmt }udata" in it, and dsp1 creates a file that has
silence.
