Everything, despite some details, is working fine! Radio must be invoked with -s or -S option to have it stereo.(Does't mute, with (sorry) xawtv it does.) Alevtd, by mistake tested last, is fine. Xawtv maybe has a bug or finds one. Had it in grabdisplay and stereo only for the first user. Any and every next user had no stereo and grabdisplay mode, pop ups and windows took frames from it and all was weak and lost. So something was not released. Gambled with double instances and over the net (have oops) to get something out. With 2.4.19-v4l2-0.1.11 tvtime-0.9.6, started after a run of xawtv, gave: 'input indicates that tuners are available, but driver denies to give information about them - invalid argument'. At last alevtd 'bind: adress already in use'. Simple mopdprobe -r in monoculture for the moment. Tuner.o and tda9887 must be removed from /.../media/video, otherwise they are loaded instead of those in v4l2. Now sound more often meets noise, especially on start. On 20020117 this is almost perfect and if it is stereo or mono is indicated. Mute works. When changing video source on the md9717 from Television to TV (mono only), it is mono. A little too much muted. The offers in the audio mode submenu are not available, there sticks a FIXME. (Look again at the other versions?) Recording was fine for all avi modes, jpeg is best. Pia won't work, Seg.Fault. All tv is nice, got enough :) > > > > However, mplayer 0.90-rc3 still has the alternating image display problem. > > I guess there's still some incompatibilities in the v4l1-compat module, > > but not sure who's fault it is.... > > Same here. > Same here. > -- > Robert L. But there works almost everything, tvtime, zapping, xawtv, (kino is green). Have also tv audio and video synced with mp4live and DarwinStreamingServer multicast over the local net. (codec libraries!) Couldn't this driver be downported there and have a 'CD in' option for recording ;-) Excuse my english. Greetings hermann @home -- (Hermann Pitton)
