Hello, [I'm resending this because yesterday I sent it from a wrong address and it got stuck in the moderator's queue] I've recently bought a Flyvideo3000 tuner card (LR138 Rev. F). Here are my findings so far: 1. Video. I have the already discussed "xawtv shows misplaced b/w overlay" problem. Just for fun I tried to update zapping to use the new v4l2 API, and I managed to make overlay mode work. The only obvious difference between the non-working xawtv and the working zapping setup is that xawtv tries to use a 24-bit RGB format: Feb 4 23:43:21 twister kernel: saa7134[0]: ioctl 0xc004560e (v4l2, rw, VIDIOC_OVERLAY) Feb 4 23:43:21 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: res: get 1 Feb 4 23:43:21 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: start_preview 320x240+54+66 24 bpp RGB, le field=top Feb 4 23:43:21 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: prescale=2 xscale=1152 yscale=1228 Feb 4 23:43:21 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: yscale LPI yscale=1228 Feb 4 23:43:21 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: clip: cols winbits=01 pos=0 Feb 4 23:43:21 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: clip: cols winbits=00 pos=320 Feb 4 23:43:21 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: clip: rows winbits=01 pos=58 Feb 4 23:43:21 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: clip: rows winbits=00 pos=202 whereas zapping uses a 32-bit RGB format: Feb 4 23:44:55 twister kernel: saa7134[0]: ioctl 0xc004560e (v4l2, rw, VIDIOC_OVERLAY) Feb 4 23:44:55 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: res: get 1 Feb 4 23:44:55 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: start_preview 720x419+0+61 32 bpp RGB, le field=interlaced Feb 4 23:44:55 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: prescale=1 xscale=1024 yscale=1407 Feb 4 23:44:55 twister kernel: saa7134[0]/video: yscale LPI yscale=1407 My display has 24-bit color depth and uses a 32-bit pixel format. For the first glance the display depth detection code looks identical in xawtv and zapping so I do not know why they choose different pixel formats for the overlay. 2. FM Radio. The radio is more problematic: there is absolutely no sound going to the external audio output (and hence to my sound card). Using "sox -t ossdsp /dev/dsp1 -t ossdsp /dev/dsp" I'm able to hear something but the sound quality is very-very bad. Is the radio working for anyone?
