I had started to poke around at the TDA9885 myself, but you've already got it integrated! I tried applying this patch, and indeed, it does fix quite a lot of the problems I was seeing. Now autodetection seems to be working great and contact with the MT2032 no longer drops out. =) Unfortunately, I'm still not getting sound. I'm seeing the same behavior as I did the last time, where only video comes in, but if I use xawtv "fine-tune" to about (9) or (10), sound comes (of course, accompanied by fuzzy video ;) I'm using NTSC here in the US, using us-cable as the tuner setting. Any ideas? Is there anything else I should try? Can I provide more information that would be helpful? -- Wesley J.
