Wow, great work, Gunther! I had started to poke around at the TDA9885 
myself, but you've already got it integrated! 

I tried applying this patch, and indeed, it does fix quite a lot of the 
problems I was seeing. Now autodetection seems to be working great and 
contact with the MT2032 no longer drops out. =)

Unfortunately, I'm still not getting sound. I'm seeing the same behavior 
as I did the last time, where only video comes in, but if I use xawtv 
"fine-tune" to about (9) or (10), sound comes (of course, accompanied 
by fuzzy video ;)

I'm using NTSC here in the US, using us-cable as the tuner setting. Any 
ideas? Is there anything else I should try? Can I provide more 
information that would be helpful?
