I recently read about Lee Sanders'
success with the ATI TV-Wonder VE -- great!
Was there an outcome with the ATI
All-In-Wonder 128 Pro card ?
Did he get it to work
?
I have RH7.3 (2.4.18-3) running
on x86, and an ATI AIW 128 32Mb AGP is being shipped to me.
This board appears to combine the functionality of the 2 boards that
Lee has, ie. TV tuner plus PC video card.
Any successes to report or any
suggestions?

I have Red Hat 7.1 with kernel 2.4.2-2. Is that too old? ----- Original Message 2 ----- From: "Lee Sanders" <mailshots@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <video4linux-list@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 19, 2002 6:27 AM Subject: Success Story (with prices) > Hi all, > I've been lurking on this mailing list now for a couple of months, hearing about all the problems people have been having with their various hardware and how it all got fixed (or not). Don't believe all those horror stories. > As a word of warning, the ATI TV wonder VE windows software is terrible. (if you really want to capture under Windows, VirtualDub is the business - although you'll still have to use the wretched ATI software to change channel - bleaugh !) > I bought the new motherboard, processor and memory for the next stage. > Now I need to get ffmpeg and a few codecs and see what this baby can really do ! > Anyone got any comments on codecs to use? The first level of quality required is to replace a VHS video recorder recording on long play. > Lee Sanders. > _____________________________________________________________ > https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/video4linux-list |
