Opera is rather good, especially the latest versions, but it has at least one flaw - by default it identifies itself as IE but always interprets JavaScript in accordance with the standards, as does Netscape. Some JS works differently on IE, so more intelligent authors write code which identifies the browser and sends the right commands. Unfortunately, with default Opera this breaks ... The solution is to change the options in Opera to identify itself as Netscape because most sites still don't understand the "Opera" ID. (I discovered all this while working on a database site driven in part by JS.) (Opera should really interpret JS in the same way as whatever it's identifying itself as at the time, but then MS should have kept to the standard in the first place, but then we'd be in a perfect world.)
