Geoff Hibble (list.redhat.com@xxxxxxxxxxx): > Capture -> GrabDisplay works. Cool. But a new problem exists whereby > screen artifacts (horizontal lines) are drawn where there is movement > in the picture. When the picture stops moving the artifacts mostly > disappear and the screen looks normal. Any ideas? What you're seeing is the result of viewing an interlaced stream of fields as a sequence of full frames. To display an interlaced stream on a progressive display, you must first deinterlace it. There are lots of methods of deinterlacing with highly varying levels of quality, be careful to select the method that is best for your quality demands. HTH, -- Billy Biggs vektor@xxxxxxxxxxxx
