Sure if the audio cable goes from the bttv line-out to the soundcard line-in and you have unmuted and adjusted the line-in levels in the mixer. Maybe there's some unsupported switch in your soundcard. It might be in the ac97 codec because there are a million variations of those. If you can't get it working with the OSS es1371 module you could try ALSA.
