But when i try xcaptest from the v4l2 page, i get:

joshua@remix:~/v4lapp$ ./xcaptest /dev/video0
QUERYCAP in capture_init: Invalid argument
called v4l2_set_fps with fps=30

time per frame is: 333667

G_STD in capture_start: Invalid argument
G_FMT in capture_start: Invalid argument
REQBUFS in capture _start
: Invalid argument

Also, xawtv only shows static even though the cable in plugged into the
capture card. Any clue what to try?

Thanks ...
