I see that from time to time when I switch channels. Sometimes clicking in
the Video Overlay window will restore the video output. Other times it
remains dark.

It may be another symptom of the same problem above?

I'm not sure where the fault is either: X11/Xv, saa7134, or NVidia driver
(in my case)?
