Nothing related with "Linux".
The problem is (as usual) related with
ATI itself and the chip specs/docs and
"proprietary/protected" crap. And tons
of lines of code to put together.

As a final result WE (stupid users/consumers including 
myself wich still owns AIW) are the final victims of 
the whole consumer model.

They win the game before even the start.
As usual.
